8-channel HART to MODBUS RS485 protocol converter, Modbus-TCP gateway SM100-W Songmao

The ARM microprocessor, a HART protocol modem chip, and a great deal of real-world knowledge were used in the development of the SM100-W series HART smart converter. It offers great stability and dependability and is designed to meet the specifications of industrial items. To enable real-time data transmission, the intelligent converter has a standard RS485 interface and gateway that can either convert to MODBUS _ RTU/MODBUS _ TCP protocol to read data or transparently send data with intelligent instruments using HART protocol.

The HART protocol instrument enables bidirectional data transmission without interfering with the 4 to 20 mA analog signal by superimposing a modulated digital signal on a 4 to 20 mA basis using the Bell202 Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) standard. Digital and analog signals can be modulated and demodulated in both directions using the SM100 series intelligent converter.

• It has a standard RS485 communication interface and gateway, which allows it to modify the communication baud rate, parity check bit, and settings. It increases the system's overall operating speed because it is not dependent on the HART bus's 1200 communication speed. Adopting an industrial universal module shell makes installation and commissioning easier.
• Equipped with specialized configuration software, it can adjust the SM100-W series intelligent converter's parameters and use the intelligent converter to communicate with an intelligent instrument that uses the HART protocol.
• The standard MODBUS _ RTU and MODBUS _ TCP protocols are supported.
• Multiple intelligent instruments using the HART protocol can be connected at the same time.
• The instrument current output is unaffected by the quarantine of each HART channel.
• Capable of customizing the instructions for reading specific HART instruments, it supports a wide range of intelligent instruments with the HART protocol.
• One set's data update time is 0.8 seconds. The data will be updated in 6.4 seconds if eight sets are linked.
